For those of you who are currently working in enterprise or solution architecture, how did you get to where you are now? What was your previous experience and how did you transition into this field?

I went from developing in Java in the good old days to being a DB Admin to a short stint as a Mainframe specialist then did Cyber Security architecture.

There are many different backgrounds people come from. In my experience I see a lot of people coming from either a development background or an Infra background.
